Filmi Zgjoi i regjisores Blerta Basholli nuk ka arritur të nominohet për çmimet Oskar në garën për filmin më të mirë ndërkombëtarë.
Kjo ishte hera e parë që një film kosovar i metrazhit të gjatë arriti të futet në listën e ngushtë të përzgjedhjes së Academy Awards.
Në vitin 2016 filmi i metrazhit të shkurtër Shok, bashkëprodhim i Kosovës dhe Anglisë, arriti të jetë pjesë e nominimeve në kategorinë e filmave më të mirë ndërkombëtarë të këtij metrazhi.
Ceremonia e shpalljes së fituesve në Oskar 2022 do të mbahet më 27 mars.
